The Department of Commerce was established in 2005 .The course sanctioned was B.Com with Computer Application. In the year 2015 another stream of  B.Com with Finance and Taxation and M.Com was introduced. The department creates a stimulating environment for the academic growth of the students. Various certificate courses are provided by the department. Talks ,paper and computer presentations, industrial visits and career orientation programmes are organized regularly to enhance the skills of the students. The department has a strength of around 350 students. Faculty members are known for their expertise in their field and they impart practical knowledge on the subjects. The course intends to prepare the students  for productive employment and open scope for higher education.

Responsibility

The course aims to acquaint the students with various concepts of business ethics and practices of corporate social responsibility in India.

Quantitative Techniques for Business- 1

To make the students understand the role of statistics and quantitative techniques in business and familiarize them with basic tools applied

The course is intended to familiarise the students with financial market operations in India

The objective of this course is to provide a sound understanding of the basic

principles of marketing management and their applications in the business and industry.

The objective of this course is to familiarize the students with more advanced tools of data analysis an forecasting and also to have an understanding of the fundamentals of theory of probability
