The Disaster Management Cell at BK College, Amalagiri, is dedicated to preparing, implementing, and managing plans that minimize the impact of sudden disasters on life, property, and the environment. By fostering awareness and encouraging preparedness among students, faculty, and the broader community, the Cell aims to enhance campus safety and build a proactive disaster response culture.

OBJECTIVES

Enhance Campus Safety

Proactively plan and train for disaster preparedness to ensure a well-organized response to emergencies and develop emergency response protocols and conduct regular drills for various disaster scenarios.
Identify and Manage Campus Emergencies
Establish a comprehensive system to identify potential risks and manage unforeseen emergencies, such as fire, natural disasters, or medical crises.
Raise Awareness on Disaster Risks and Consequences
Conduct awareness campaigns for students, faculty, and the public about the causes and consequences of disasters.
Promote personal and community-level disaster preparedness strategies, such as first-aid skills, evacuation plans, and resource management.
Organize Training Programs
Facilitate disaster management training sessions led by experts from relevant disaster management authorities.
