Bhoomitrasena Club
The Bhoomithra Sena Club, an initiative of the Directorate of Environment & Climate Change under the Department of Environment and Climate Change, is dedicated to environmental protection and awareness. The Bhoomithra Sena Club (BMC-099/KTM/05/10) at B K College, Amalagiri, was established in February 2013 with the goal of encouraging students to develop a greater appreciation for the environment and to respond positively to environmental challenges.
The club organizes a variety of activities to address pressing environmental concerns such as water pollution, water scarcity, and degradation of the environment. These activities include seminars, field visits, and surveys aimed at raising awareness and finding solutions to these issues. The club also conducts public interaction sessions to engage the local community in discussions on environmental matters.
In addition to awareness programs, the Bhoomithra Sena Club actively works on improving the physical environment of the college campus. This includes cleaning and maintaining polluted or environmentally degraded sites and planting and nurturing trees to enhance the greenery and sustainability of the college grounds.
Through these efforts, the Bhoomithra Sena Club plays an essential role in fostering environmental stewardship and encouraging sustainable practices among students and the community at large.
